Each easel has a distinctive three-point, tripod-like silhouette: a tall, gently rounded central support rises from two broad, curved feet. The flowing contours give the pieces an almost organic or architectural quality, rather than the appearance of a conventional metal or wooden easel.

The glass is richly layered in cobalt, royal blue, sapphire, turquoise, and blue-green, with areas of darker indigo and translucent aqua. Within the body, individual pieces or layers of colored glass create an abstract mosaic-like pattern.
